CUSTOMadera Original is a San Diego woodworking brand founded by Eric Chriss, a maker shaped by family craftsmanship, precision work, and a lifelong respect for tools. As a child, Eric carved a wooden chain from a single block of wood while learning patience and pride from his grandfather, Manuel Baisa.

Years later, during COVID, Eric built this treehouse by hand and found his way back to woodworking. That project became a turning point: the place where craftsmanship, discipline, and purpose came together again.

Today, CUSTOMadera creates handcrafted wood tool caddies and organizers for makers, artists, and craftspeople who want to organize and protect the tools that build everything else.
